If you can increase employee satisfaction, you will increase revenue, it is that simple. But how do you measure this? Do you currently conduct employee satisfaction surveys? If not, you should, and here are 4 keys questions you need to ask your employees.

You use a 6-point scale to measure this;

1) Strongly Disagree 2) Somewhat Disagree 3) Not sure
4 ) Somewhat Agree 5) Agree 6) Strongly Agree

Here is the important point, and where the math comes in. Raising employee satisfaction (i.e. these four questions) by 1 point (from "somewhat agree" to "agree"), would improve the score by 0.4 (about 10%-15%). This in turn would raise the financial performance index by 42.06%.

"Let's say that again. We have strong evidence that a 10 to 15 percent increase in the scores given by employees to the elements of employee satisfaction will cause a 42.06% increase in financial performance".
